Re-grounding: Month 4
Four months. The punk thread is running. Here's what the curriculum looks like from the inside.
[VERIFY: This post should be written AFTER month 4 of publication. Same retrospective structure. Placeholder below.]
Four months. The punk thread (human preservation in AI contexts) and the practicum posts (build something) are running. The curriculum is shifting from “here’s the concept” to “here’s what you do with it.”
What held: [Actual observations.]
What shifted: [Vocabulary refinements.]
What surprised me: [Unexpected reader connections.]
What I got wrong: [Corrections needed.]
The practicum posts: [Did readers actually build things? Which practicums got the most engagement? Which ones were too abstract to be actionable?]
The punk thread: [How did readers respond to the human preservation argument? Did it attract the right audience or alienate the wrong one?]
By month four, the curriculum should be self-sustaining. Readers who started at the beginning have the full vocabulary. New readers can enter through the practicum posts and work backward to the concepts. The spiral is either working as a curriculum or it’s a collection of loosely related posts. This re-grounding decides which.
